Awards & Recognition

The Cromwell High School Drama Department has previously participated in the annual Halo Awards. The Halos are the premiere high school theater awards in CT, hosted by the Seven Angles Theatre. They were designed to honor high school student achievements in all aspects of theater, from acting and dancing to set design and stage management. Productions mounted by high schools across the state of Connecticut were considered during the nominating process. Below is a description provided by the Seven Angels Theatre.

The Halo Awards: The Awards are a Gala Red Carpet Event for the participating students and their family and friends. Awards are given in numerous categories including: Best Actor and Actress in a Musical/Play, Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a Musical/Play, Best Performance by the Cast in an Ensemble Production, Best Comic Actor and Actress in a Musical/Play, Best Student Choreographer, plus categories for lighting, design, stage management, special effects, and many more.
